As you are processing too much information in less span of time but physically acting/responding to the real world, the rate at which you process the information with respect to your response to the real world has a huge difference. Your body merely feels to be in a resting position, thus you perceive yourself to be more calmer.

If you start working or talking to other people during such an enhanced state, you get frustrated and overwhelmed. Your voice level rises! The more you try to explain, the more you get frustrated, you still feel calm inside but your external behavior showcases otherwise.
